Christina Tourin began developing the Rainbow of Sound® materials in the 1980’s with her Learn How To Play Harp series of books and DVDs. Countless harpists have come to learn and love music through these series, and many who have started with this method have gone on to attend outstanding music schools – and beyond into the professional world of music.
The Rainbow of Sound® Series of books and DVDs evolved over the years and has become widely regarded as one of the best programs for learning how to read music at the same time as learning the harp, so is ideally suited to young beginners – though adult learners can also benefit tremendously from this method.
The possibilities offered to those wishing to develop a career/vocation as a harp teacher or Harp Circle Facilitator became obvious as the success of the Rainbow of Sound Series spread around the globe and in an ever increasing variety of settings including pre-schools, elementary schools, teen centers as well as with adults and seniors in educational and healthcare facilities. The Rainbow of Sound books are now being translated into other languages.
The Color My World Series came into being a few years later and is the ideal complement to Rainbow of Sound, adding many more songs to the repertoire of new harp players who can now read music. This additional Series can augment the range of what a Rainbow of Sound Facilitator can offer.

You can see the fun that these folks are having in their groups.
Great places for Rainbow of Sound™ ensembles are:
Schools • Home schooling groups • Church groups • Senior centers
After school teen centers • Holistic wellness centers
