At the Planetree Hospital Annual Conferences in San Diego,CA (2006) and Williamsburg, VA (2007), IHTP Leaders met with over 700 hospital administrators and outlined our enhancement packages for their hospitals. As a result, we have new training centers at Planetree Hospitals; student training opportunities where hospitals provide rooming and local transportation while the student is doing their internship in the hospital; graduate employment opportunities; and lastly, teaching DVDs and harps for patients to use through the hospital resource centers.
Planetree is another word for the Sycamore Tree, and was the place under which Hippocrates taught medicine and healing to his students. The philosophies of the International Harp Therapy Program and the Planetree Hospital Model are like a marriage made in heaven.
